My name is Roy Clark & I live in Aberdeenshire,Scotland. I have been keeping & breeding fish for over 20 years. When I was in my late teens my friend was introduced to tropical fish keeping by a workmate. This was when my interest in tropical fishkeeping began.I started with a few livebearers & then moved on to egglayers.Like a lot of other aquarists Zebra Danio was the the first egglayer that I bred. I kept fish for a few years before & after getting married.I then had quite a few tanks on the go.I gave up about a year later due to work related changes & moving home several times.

Male Albino Kribensis
I moved into my present house in 1979 & started to keep fish a while after.I started off with one tank but after joining Banff & District Aquarist Society I got the breeding bug again. I put another couple of tanks in a spare bedroom & bred various fish in these.I got an 8' x 10' shed a couple of years ago & gradually added more tanks.I now have 28 tanks of various sizes, most of these have been free or very reasonably priced.
I started attending fish auctions on a regular basis just after I got the fish house up & running.I have made friends with quite a few like minded aquarists at the shows regret leaving it so long before attending. This is where I manage to get fish that are not available in shops in my neck of the woods,as they mostly sell "Bread & Butter"fish.Unfortunately the closest venue is Perth so every auction is at least a 230 mile round trip.It is a good day out & recommend it to all keen aquarists.
Fish that I am currently breeding are:-
Praecox Rainbows-
Albino Bristlenose Catfish--Brown Bristlenose
Corydoras Metae--Corydoras Sterbai
Aphyosemion P82-Aphyosemion Australe Gold
Angels
Red Eyed Red Swordtails
Hawaiian Red Tail Hi Fin Platies
Shrimps--Red Cherry
